Stigma Mediation Training

Below is a video of Dan Berstein’s presentation explaining a wide variety of personal experiences with mental illness stigma. It is being presented to provide a cross-section of the many ways stigma can be present, both in someone’s personal life and in published professional guidance.

It is told through Dan’s personal story of experiencing stigma events due to his bipolar disorder because contact education is shown to be the most effective way to educate about stigma, as opposed to sharing abstract concepts.
