What Being Terminated Taught Me About Civility and Mental Health

Presented by Dan Berstein, MHS

Dan Berstein is a mediator living with bipolar disorder working to help professionals have empowering mental health communication. He became focused on civility after a period of interpersonal struggles and bipolar symptoms led to the American Bar Association terminating his affiliation (just three years after they published his book, Mental Health and Conflicts: A Handbook for Empowerment).

Realizing that professionals experiencing emotional dysregulation need more tools to maintain their composure, Dan has developed new resources to help professionals stay dignified, professional, and respectful in the face of distress, tough topics, and obstructions.  In this one-hour program, learn trauma-informed ways to accept disconnects, stay patient, seek support, and practice self-care. Receive takeaway tools you can use in your practices right away.
