The Mental Health Safe Project (MH Safe) was started by Dan Berstein of MH Mediate to provide free resources to address mental illness discrimination. MH Safe provides workshops teaching people with mental illness to speak up, shares tools to help people address everyday discrimination, develops volunteer-based conflict resolution programs to address mental illness stigma, and works to update or remove inadvertently discriminatory guidance that has been published and is circulating. MH Safe also invites mental health advocacy organizations, journalists, and many other types of mental health stakeholders to be on its regular distribution list to be alerted to examples of mental illness discrimination and opportunities to support awareness and advocacy campaigns.
